This boy has such attitude! I was out at a preserved farm doing a not so good landscape painting and driving home when I saw a herd of mixed breed cattle a half mile from where I was painting. It's the unexpected bovine siting that may provide the best pose or look.
Wow, "Moorifific!!" Your cows are awesome Susan, nice colors. Theres a place near where I live where I go sometimes to paint and one day some cows came up and surprised me from behind. Apparently they wanted to see what was up, lol. This mug looked like one of them lol.
Painting and drawing was a major part of my life as a child but dissapeared during my teens and through my life as an adult working fulltime in the corporate world. The awakening came one day at the office when I realized that I had to return to art, quit and took a partime job. I began classes at a local art league and painting at home.
Another awakening arrived when I had my first intimate encounter with a dairy cow. Then there was the interview with Temple Grandin...no more eating these beautiful creatures or anything with a mother. My goal is to depict these non-human animals as the sentient, beautiful beings that they are. That's it.
