If you love cows as I do (or am obsessed as some would say), you will love "One Good Mama Bone". Gene Bauer writes, "....never has the bond between a woman and a mother cow been placed front and center. It's about time...." I'm about halfway through and couldn't wait to share it! Check it out on Amazon And a small piece of a boy named Otto.
Painting and drawing was a major part of my life as a child but dissapeared during my teens and through my life as an adult working fulltime in the corporate world. The awakening came one day at the office when I realized that I had to return to art, quit and took a partime job. I began classes at a local art league and painting at home.
Another awakening arrived when I had my first intimate encounter with a dairy cow. Then there was the interview with Temple Grandin...no more eating these beautiful creatures or anything with a mother. My goal is to depict these non-human animals as the sentient, beautiful beings that they are. That's it.
