Painting and drawing was a major part of my life as a child but dissapeared during my teens and through my life as an adult working fulltime in the corporate world. The awakening came one day at the office when I realized that I had to return to art, quit and took a partime job. I began classes at a local art league and painting at home.
Another awakening arrived when I had my first intimate encounter with a dairy cow. Then there was the interview with Temple Grandin...no more eating these beautiful creatures or anything with a mother. My goal is to depict these non-human animals as the sentient, beautiful beings that they are. That's it.
Beautiful paintings. This one caught my eye right away from Leslie's site.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I didn't have this in mind, but maybe Carol Marine's advice was an influence.
DeleteAnother great one. You get up early, I can't seem to post to 30/30 until about #100.
