Thank you, Cris...if only they all they painted themselves the way this one did. I think it was the paper that made it work for me. Gotta go buy some and return the other stuff!
Hi Susan, thanks so much for leaving such a nice comment on my blog. First got to say I love the title of this blog! Now that th challenge is over will start at the beginning and see how and where you have come on your journey. Looking forward to it.
Hi Nelvia, thank you for taking the time to write! You may be the only person except for me who likes the title of my blog! I get many "what an interesting name for your blog" comments. Anyway, I appreciate you stopping by!
I can't believe I hadn't seen your work before tonight on the 30/30 challenge site... You are terrific! I plan to keep you in sight!! Great work. Maren www.marenphillipsartlines.com/blog and website: www.marenphillipsartlines.com
Painting and drawing was a major part of my life as a child but dissapeared during my teens and through my life as an adult working fulltime in the corporate world. The awakening came one day at the office when I realized that I had to return to art, quit and took a partime job. I began classes at a local art league and painting at home.
Another awakening arrived when I had my first intimate encounter with a dairy cow. Then there was the interview with Temple Grandin...no more eating these beautiful creatures or anything with a mother. My goal is to depict these non-human animals as the sentient, beautiful beings that they are. That's it.
Love the energetic strokes on this one and the way the light is hitting his bell.
